Calista noticed the cute redhead in the JMU polo on her first day at Live Oak. Max noticed her too, and secretly hoped she’d end up on his team. Buuuut she didn’t. Instead, we became close friends. If we’re being honest, we both probably knew it was more than friendship long before either of us said it out loud. Shoutout to Anna for helping give us both the nudge we needed! It took a concert to make it official. Calista's friends brought her out to see Brett Eldredge. Max saw that night as his opportunity and he showed up thinking it was a Dierks Bentley concert. Close enough! We’ve been together ever since. Today, we still work at the same company where we met, share a home, and spend our days spoiling our golden retriever, Benny, who firmly believes everything revolves around him (and he’s not wrong). In May 2025, Max proposed on Sarakiniko Beach in Milos, Greece. Calista had no idea what was coming. She said yes, and we spent the rest of the trip celebrating. Now, we’re counting down the days until we can celebrate with all of you in our home of Wilmington, North Carolina.
