Tricia and Caleb met on Bumble in February 2022, though “matched” might be the better word. Tricia spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to figure out what to say in her first message. Since girls message first on Bumble, she assumed Caleb already had a dozen conversations going. She debated: Should she reference his bio? Be witty but not cringe? In the end, she just sent something that made her laugh and hoped for the best. What she didn’t know was that Caleb had only joined the app a few days earlier, and she was one of his very first matches. He responded (🙃), and from the very first few dates, something felt different. Caleb was different. He was thoughtful, punctual (unlike Tricia), intentional, and bold—someone who didn’t just share her faith, but lived it with depth and conviction. And Caleb, well he was delighted to discover that Tricia’s mind and personality were even more beautiful than her looks. Six months into dating, Caleb moved to Virginia for work, and they’ve been long-distance ever since. It hasn’t always been easy, but the distance shaped their relationship in lasting ways. They’ve learned how to communicate with honesty, to listen with humility, and to stay grounded in what truly matters. Through it all, they’ve kept God at the center, not perfectly, but faithfully. The two are different in many ways. Caleb is steady, grounded, and quietly perceptive. Tricia is expressive, heart-forward, and has never met a tangent she didn’t want to follow. He thinks before he speaks; she speaks to think. He brings calm to every room; she brings the commentary. And yet, at their core, they are deeply aligned. They share in a love for learning, a desire to live with intention, and a faith that anchors every step of their story. From thoughtful conversations to crossword puzzles, 30 Rock reruns, Marvel debates, and Love Is Blind marathons, their relationship has been built on laughter, honesty, and a quiet, rooted love that feels like coming home. Three years, countless flights, and many, many United miles later, they’re ready to step into the next season of life together, close the distance, and begin their marriage with deep gratitude and joy.

Attire: Casual, but polished (think nice jeans, a sundress, or a button-down)
We're kicking off the weekend with "Pizza & Wings Before the Rings" at the place where it all began—Lou Malnati’s, (aka our very first date!). This event is by invitation and reserved for the wedding party and close family.
3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
✨Dress to impress but don't stress✨ Attire is formal with flexibility. Tuxedos and gowns are welcome, but not expected. Dark suits (tie optional) and elegant dresses are just as perfect. Wear what makes you feel your best—festive, polished, and ready to dance!
Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outdoors within the Formal Garden. Please keep this in mind when selecting your footwear—we recommend block heels, wedges, or flats for comfort on grass. Cocktail hour and reception to follow.
