We visited the Shade and Woodland Gardens in Springfield, Illinois on July 16th, 2022 and sat by the pond under a tree, that's when he popped the question! We both had felt that it was the right next step for a long time, and I had an inkling that he was going to ask! It was the most beautiful perfect day.

Caleb and I both attended UNC for our undergraduate degrees. He graduated in December 2021 with his Bachelor's in Computer Science and Biology, and found a job that moved him to Illinois and then to Alabama. We have spent a large portion of our relationship in different cities, and we're ecstatic to be settling down and finally together for good. I am still in the midst of finishing my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing, and I'll graduate this spring of 2024. I will be walking the stage in cap and gown a week before our wedding! After that, we will be living in Montgomery, Alabama for the foreseen future until we can move closer to home.
