Over the six years of our relationship, we have been through many chapters and are excited to share them with you!
We met in English Honors freshman year of high school. With our last names being close together, we were seated next to each other and quickly became frenemies. Cadence is the good quiet student while Conner is loud and interruptive so it is no secret why our teacher never moved us apart. We were friends for a year before we started dating in February 2020. One short month into dating and we entered the COVID era. Fortunately we got to go on many adventures during our time in high school like go to prom and Disneyland together. After walking down together for graduation we were off to college!
We both attend Stanislaus State University together. Cadence will be getting her BA in Liberal studies with a concentration in Child Development and graduate May 2026. After Cadence graduates she will have one final year of school left to get her credential degree. With this degree she has the the intent of becoming a K-8 grade teacher, preferably younger grades. Conner will be getting his BS in Biology, then go to pharmacy school either at UOP or SF. After pharmacy, he has the intent of becoming a pharmacist.
February 2024, one week before our fourth anniversary, we went to the ER to find out why Conner was feeling sick. We were shocked to discover Conner had stage three kidney cancer that had engulfed his left kidney. After two months and moving houses, Conner's cancer and kidney were removed march 12, 2024. Since then we have been told Conner has SDHB, a genetic mutation that creates a higher risk for him to develop certain cancers and tumors.
We will have been engaged two years before we celebrate our big day. Conner proposed to Cadence at Pfeiffer beach on September 3rd, 2024. Over our engagement we have done so much. Between working, going to college, and planning a wedding our lives have been busy and joyful. We can not wait to enter a new chapter in our lives and celebrate.
