FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

No dress code. Dress however you're comfortable with. We don't care!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are not registered. No gifts are needed or expected. However, if you would like to bless us with a gift, we would greatly appreciate a monetary contribution to our wishing well (which will be located at the reception) that will go towards our home/honeymoon fund, as well as towards our caterers and bartender at the end of the night! More importantly feel free to donate instead to the VFW POST 1486 Donations may be sent to: LPS VFW Post 1486 Post Home 713 S. Main Street Sandwich, IL 60548

Answer

There is parking at the VFW. There is also curb parking along the roads as well, should it be needed.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We will have an open but limited bar. *NOTE: since VFWs are a not for profit organization that relies solely on public donation, they operate on a cash bar availability after. Water and sodas are $1. Alcoholic drinks will vary. Coffee, lemonade and iced tea will be provided free of charge. Support our veterans!
