Please dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather. FAQs

Question

My hotel reservation got cancelled due to construction necessitated by recent weather events. What should I do?

Answer

We recommend calling the hotel manager of the hotel you booked. The other two hotels the wedding shuttle will be servicing are fully booked. Ask the manager if they can honor the same price you booked your original reservation and rebook you at a local hotel. There are several hotels that are north and south of the venue and are a short drive to the venue. Thanks for your flexibility!

Question

We’ve heard about recent flooding in Milwaukee—will this affect the wedding?

Answer

We appreciate everyone’s concern! While parts of Milwaukee have recently experienced flooding, our wedding venue and hotel accommodations have seen only minimal impact. The exception being the Fairfield Inn and Suites, which is fully closed. Local crews have been hard at work, and the city is operating normally for visitors. If you’ll be driving into the city, you may want to allow a little extra time and check your GPS for any detours. We’ll keep this page updated if anything changes, but we’re happy to say the celebration is still on—rain or shine!

Question

What should I do with the recipe card included in the invitation?

Answer

Write down one of your favorite recipes on the enclosed recipe card — anything you’d like to share, from cocktails to main courses to sweet treats (we love them all!). Be sure to bring the card with you to the wedding, where we’ll have a special recipe box to collect them. Prefer to submit your recipe online instead? You can also share it here: https://forms.gle/KnzfW1hrKdMRc6kb7

Things To Do

Stone Creek Coffee - Glendale

6969 North Port Washington Road, Glendale, WI 53217

We absolutely love their coffee! If you have the time, their factory tour at the downtown Milwaukee location is fantastic. If not, you can still enjoy their caffeine fix at a store conveniently located near the 3 preferred hotel blocks.

Lakefront Brewery

1872 North Commerce Street, Milwaukee, WI 53212

A Wisconsin classic with a fun and engaging brewery tour. Plus, some of the best cheese curds we've located in the Milwaukee area!

Milwaukee Public Market

400 North Water Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202

Located in the Historic Third Ward neighborhood, this iconic destination offers a diverse array of high-quality artisan and ethnic products, as well as freshly prepared foods. Inside, you'll find a variety of vendors offering everything from fresh seafood and meats to cheeses, baked goods, and international cuisines.

Mitchell Park Domes Horticulture Conservatory

524 South Layton Boulevard, Milwaukee, WI 53215

Location of our first date in Milwaukee! With the 3 domes (show, tropical, and desert dome), the Domes is a Milwaukee County Park and each of the 3 domes (show, tropical, and desert) is filled with plants and animals from different climates!

Milwaukee Art Museum

700 North Art Museum Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53202

The museum is renowned not only for its impressive art collections but also for its iconic architecture. Notably, the building features a moveable wing-like structure called the Burke Brise Soleil, which opens and closes at specific times throughout the day.

Diverging Diamond Interchange

One of Madison's favorite interchange methods as a transportation engineer. A Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) is a intersection design that improves safety and traffic flow by briefly shifting vehicles to the opposite side of the road to allow direct left turns onto freeways.
