In January 2021, amidst a global pandemic, we found each other. A simple DM led to a first date on a quiet, chilly Tuesday night at Fahrenheit rooftop restaurant in Charlotte,NC. From the moment we met, we both knew what we shared was magical, a spark like none other. As we spent more time together, we discovered that we both had dreams of pursuing professional degrees at Howard University. What began as a love story in North Carolina soon traveled with us to Washington, DC, where we embarked on the journey of becoming doctor (MD) and doctor (PhD). In October 2025, during a trip to Sarasota, FL for a friend’s baby shower, we woke early to watch the sunrise on Siesta Key Beach. As we prayed together in front of the crystal-blue water on October 12th, that intimate moment unfolded into one we’ll cherish forever. We got engaged on the beach and returned to Washington, DC overflowing with joy and excitement for the journey ahead. Today, we are grateful for the way God’s meticulous plan wove our lives together — from shared dreams to a love that keeps unfolding with purpose. We’re excited for this next chapter as husband and wife, continuing to grow in love, purpose, and faith.
