How We Met

First comes Santa's, then comes Marriage

Bryan and Yare attended the same middle and high school, just one grade apart. Despite sharing mutual friends for nearly a decade, they only crossed paths once — a quick hello in the hallway between classes. It wasn’t until November 2022, during a group outing to Santa’s Enchanted Forest, that God brought them together again. That night, Bryan, Yare, and two friends spent the evening riding rollercoasters and indulging in fried Oreos (two of their favorite things!). Eventually, after one too many rides, they both started feeling queasy and decided to sit out. That’s when the real fun began: they started talking, and the conversation never quite stopped. A few days later, the same group returned to the fair. When the park closed, they made a late-night Taco Bell run and shared laughs and stories in Yare’s car. Later that night, Bryan called saying he had “accidentally” left his license and credit cards behind — the perfect excuse to see Yare again. The next day, they met so she could return his things, but ended up talking for hours. From that moment on, they were inseparable. Their relationship blossomed through long distance. Bryan began his career in law enforcement while attending the corrections academy, and Yare started her journey through law school. Through it all, their connection only deepened. In January 2024, Bryan moved to Boston to join Yare, and together with their beloved fur baby, Simba, they’ve built a beautiful life and home together. Now, they’re thrilled to officially begin their next chapter as Mr. and Mrs. Gonzalez, celebrating the union of two hearts, two stories, and two families, finally becoming one.
