Por Que Oaxaca?

If you know Bryan and Jeannette, you knew our shared interest in travel and exploration with one another was promptly discovered! After 4 weeks of dating, and on just our third date mind you, we both agreed to venture out on an 8 hour road trip to Fort Brag, Ca. Still strangers at this point, this prospective road tip did not come without dubiety. What will we talk about for 8 hours? How will we manage the inevitable awkward silence? Will Bryan hang out with the Moresco boys the night before and show up hungover? Needless to say, there was more than enough conversation to fill 8 hours and the only awkward silence was when Jeannette had to pull over to let Bryan out for a roadside spew. We have been undeniably fortunate to continue to travel and explore over the course of our 8 year relationship, and while the sights, sounds and tastes new places were surely special, we noticed that a lot our dialogue was focused around something that was missing: our friends and family. From Europe to Canada and Mexico, to backpacking in the Sierra Nevadas, there was always an unrelenting notion that we could name someone special in our lives that would deeply value and love the exact place and moment we were living in. Fast forward to Oct 2023, we find ourselves in Oaxaca, Mexico. Fresh off of a Portugal Proposal, we thought it would be a great opportunity to take engagement photos, try famous Oaxaca cuisine and visit a new city rich in tradition and culture… Little did we know that the we both would fall head over heels for Oaxaca! The trip was pure bliss from start to finish, and when we arrived home we were absolutely certain that Oaxaca would be the perfect destination for friends and family to gather for our big day! We are eager to celebrate our wedding day with everyone in February. And we are equally excited and stirred with joy to finally share a travel experience with those we love and cherish the most! We hope you can all join and we cannot wait to see you there!!!
