We had both tried for a long time to find our “person,” but just hadn’t found the right one. We matched on an online dating site and after talking and getting to know each other for several weeks, we decided we would give dating each other a try. We had already started to build a good foundation and when we started dating, we just knew it was right. And the rest is history!

In July of 2023, we went on a much anticipated vacation to the Dominican Republic with some friends to celebrate two of their 40th birthdays. After we arrived, the concierge said everyone’s rooms were ready except ours. We put on our swimsuits and went down to the beach while we waited. Brent decided it was now or never because the concierge was decorating our room to celebrate the engagement that hadn’t happened yet and it would have blown the surprise! Everybody was in on it and when we all walked down the beach that first day, Brent popped the question! It was the best surprise ever!
