From the airport, rental cars and rideshare services are readily available, and the drive to the venue is approximately 1 hour depending on traffic. We recommend allowing extra travel time so you can arrive comfortably and enjoy the weekend.

For live music, we highly recommend Gruene Hall, Texas’ oldest continually operating dance hall. Located in the charming Gruene Historic District, it offers an iconic Texas experience with live performances, dancing, and a lively atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy great music, cold drinks, and a true taste of local culture.

One of Brodey and my favorite spots to grab a margarita is Dos Rios Mexican Bar & Grill. It’s a great local favorite for relaxed vibes, delicious food, and some of the best margaritas in town. We always enjoy stopping in there when we’re looking for a casual night out and a good drink together.
Gruene River Grill
Gruene River Grill is a relaxed riverside restaurant in historic Gruene, offering scenic views of the Guadalupe River and a warm Hill Country atmosphere. Known for its comfortable dining rooms and shaded outdoor patio, it’s a favorite spot for enjoying a meal with a view in a casual yet polished setting. Naegelin's German Bakery
A true New Braunfels staple is Naegelin’s Bakery, the oldest bakery in Texas. It’s a local favorite we always recommend to visitors!
NB Donuts
One of Brodey and my favorite morning spots is a local donut shop where you can grab a fresh kolache, donut, or coffee to start your day off right. It’s a great little stop for something quick, warm, and delicious before heading out to explore New Braunfels or kick off the wedding festivities!

A great local favorite for pizza is Callahan’s Pub & Pizza. Known for its laid-back, casual atmosphere, it’s a perfect spot to grab a cold drink, enjoy a slice, and unwind with friends. With classic pub vibes and hearty pizza, it’s a fun and easy stop while exploring New Braunfels.
Gruene Historic District

Our celebration will include both indoor and outdoor spaces, so please plan accordingly for Texas weather. November in the Texas Hill Country is typically mild during the day and cooler in the evenings, so we recommend dressing in layers for an outdoor ceremony—think cocktail attire with a light jacket, wrap, or shawl for when the sun goes down.

Please arrive 15–30 minutes before the ceremony begins to get seated and settled. We will be providing a bus service that will start 2 hours before ceremony time begins to allow for proper travel time accommodations with little stress to arrive on time to our special day!

Will transportation be provided to and from the venue?
Answer
A shuttle bus service will be provided for transportation to the wedding venue and back at the end of the evening, so guests can relax and enjoy the celebration without worrying about getting there or home. We will have guests picked up and dropped off at the hotel listed under travel for easier convenience.
