Flight
Please note that easiest way to travel to Nicaragua is to fly in directly to the capital's airport MGA. There are direct flights from a couple of airports in the US such as Houston and Miami. The best airlines to look into are Avianca, United Airlines, American Airlines, Spirit, Aeromexico, and Copa Airlines.
Flight
Sometimes a second cost-effective option can be flying into our neighboring country, Costa Rica and crossing the border in a private pre arranged shuttle. Sure, it's an adventure - but a reliable one, and we'll walk you through every step of the way. If you choose this option, we recommend taking advantage of a quick beach getaway. They will be 30 minutes away from the border. (We can't recommend San Juan del Sur enough)
Flight
Avianca offers multiple flights directly into Managua with layovers in Miami and/or San Salvador. TIP: You can book a flight from your place of departure on your preferred airline (American, Delta, United, Frontier etc.) to Miami or San Salvador and take a connecting flight with Avianca directly into MGA. Lately, this is the most affordable option as it's the airline with the most flights to MGA daily.

Flights to Managua are available through United Airlines with a layover in Houston typically. TIP: In this case, you can also book flights directly to Houston via your preferred airline and take a connecting United flight directly into MGA.

We understand that flying into Nicaragua is a big expense and we are very grateful for the effort you are making to be with us on our big day. Our advice would be to constantly monitor flights in the next few months. You can track flight prices on apps like Hopper where you can see when they are expected to rise or go down.
We are hosting plans over the wedding weekend (more details to come). We highly recommend you organize a trip of 5 days or longer to enjoy Nicaragua. If you wish to make a vacation out of this trip, feel free to reach out to us and we would love to help you plan it.
The dress code is formal attire. This means suits for men and long or ankle midi dresses for women.
