If you wish to reserve a room within our block, please use the link below. The Canopy is conveniently located right across the street from our wedding venue and is walkable to downtown GR attractions. There are plenty of activities in the city if you have time to spend before the wedding (Grand Rapids Art Museum being one of our favorites), as well as many restaurants and coffee shops to enjoy Sunday morning before you depart. We highly recommend Sweet waters Coffee & Tea or Chartreuse sisters for your caffeine fix.

What should I wear?
Answer
Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses.

Do I need money for the bar?
Answer
You will not need cash to pay for drinks as we will have an open bar. Optionally you may bring some cash if you wish to tip the bartenders.

Will I need my I.D. for the bar?
Answer
Yes! Please bring your I.D. if you wish to drink at our wedding as the bar may require this for service.

Where should I park?

The "Studio Parking Ramp" is the parking garage associated with The Canopy by Hilton Hotel. For those with or without reservations this is the closest parking structure to our venue and is recommended. Alternately there are many parking garages and public parking spaces in Downtown Grand Rapids within walking distance to the venue. Take your pick!

Will there be Gluten Free food options?
Answer
Yes! Both meat dinner entree's are GF, we have also made arrangements for a gluten free cake option for those who need it. Any appetizers or desserts that are stationary will be clearly labeled. Please ask catering staff about passed appetizers. *The vegetarian dinner option is not GF.

The Rutledge has a strict no smoking/vaping policy with hefty fines for the bride and groom if there is evidence of smoking/vaping within the venue. We ask that you please step outside if needed throughout the event to avoid additional fines.
