Travel Note
If you are flying into Denver or Scottsbluff and would like to carpool, fill out this form and we'll do our best to connect you with someone flying out around the same time.
Travel Note
If you're planning to fly and rent a car from an airport outside of Wyoming, keep in mind many rental car agencies place geographic restrictions on their vehicles and won't allow interstate travel. Nu Car Rentals and Turo are two exceptions. We have used both and can recommend them.
Travel Note
Mind the speed limits when you are approaching town boundaries on US-26. Speed limits change from 70 mph to 30 mph in a few hundred feet and the local law enforcement monitors this road diligently, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.
Historic frontier outpost bordering our wedding venue. Oregon Trail and Pony Express stopping point and a great spot for anyone interested in U.S. history.
An immersive art experience about 30 minutes from the airport. Features more than 70 interactive installations all loosely tied together with a narrative thread.
A flat and easy hiking trail outside of town and a great place to spot local wildlife.
An incredible European style bakery right in the heart of town. Truly everything is exceptional. Ezdan, the owner is a practicing medical doctor and also baked our wedding cake.
The best Mexican food in the area and a great option for vegetarians. We highly recommend their smothered enchiladas and fried cheesecake.
Best Western. We love you if you show up in your best blue jeans or a sundress. We love you if you show up in a cocktail dress or a suit. We expect a range of options from our guests. This isn’t the venue for tuxedos, floor length gowns, or stiletto heels. Keep those for another occasion. If you need more inspiration, we made you a Pinterest board (https://pin.it/2TghGDlLo). Cowboy hats and boots are 100% optional but cold weather clothing is not.
Yes, we'll be outdoors in an enclosed tent on a family friend's property. Southeastern Wyoming is high plains desert: dry, windy, and with extreme temperature dips between day and night. In early October, temperatures can range from 60s/70s in the daytime to 30s/40s at night. Dress accordingly. Our tent has wind protection and a heating system but we cannot guarantee full cover from the elements. Please note that the property is located along a river, so we kindly ask guests to supervise children closely and use caution near the riverbank. There may be natural hazards, including poison ivy in some areas. For everyone’s safety, guests assume responsibility for themselves and their children during the event.
Below via the form on this website. Please do this even if you have RSVPed through Paperless Post so we can gather your dinner preferences.
