Edgefield only has one hotel, so we have provided other options for you in nearby Aiken and Augusta, which are both about a half hour away from Cedar Grove.

What is the best airport to fly into?

There are several options. Columbia, SC (an hour away) is the most convenient in that it has the most flight options. Augusta, GA (half hour away) is the closest but fewer direct flights. Charlotte, NC and Greenville-Spartanburg are each about 1.5-2 hours away

Is there transportation to and from the wedding?

Answer

There will not be transportation since guests will be staying in multiple hotels and likely various cities, which would make it logistically impossible to coordinate. For individuals who do not want to drive to the wedding, we recommend hiring a car service and have provided recommendations under the travel section. For those who do choose to drive, parking will be available on site.

Do you have a registry?

We are fortunate to have everything we need and therefore do not have a registry. However, our dream is to restore the original handpainted French wallpaper made for Cedar Grove and first installed in 1805. You are absolutely under no obligation - your presence is our gift - but for those who are so moved, we have created a fundraising page where individuals can contribute to that dream. Once the paper is restored, it will be placed under easement so it can be forever protected at Cedar Grove.
