We first met through mutual friends at Brian’s best friend’s birthday dinner. We spent the night having small conversations here and there, never imagining that those simple moments would someday lead us to where we are now. At the time, neither of us was looking for anything serious but life, timing, and God had a different plan for us. In the beginning, we mainly saw each other in group settings. It felt comfortable, easy, and fun. Then our friends started organizing what we thought were casual group hangouts… which slowly turned into “double dates” that we didn’t realize were double dates at all. After a few of those not-so-subtle setups, we finally figured out what they were up to and were actually pretty grateful they did. Eventually, Brian asked Destiny out on an actual date, and he chose the perfect one: a Warriors game which they did win that night. Something about that night just felt right. It was the moment we both realized, Okay… this might be something special. And it was. From that day on, our conversations grew deeper, our connection stronger, and our friendship blossomed into something truly meaningful. As our relationship grew, so did our bonds with the people we love most. We’ve both gained even closer relationships with each other’s friends and families, something we cherish more than words can say. Their support, love, and excitement have made this journey even more beautiful. Today, we feel incredibly blessed to have found one another. What started as a simple night out with friends turned into a love story we thank God for every single day. And now… we can’t wait to begin this next chapter together.
