Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution is the world's leading, independent non-profit organization dedicated to ocean research, exploration, and education. WHOI was responsible for finding the Titanic shipwreck. In addition to walking WHOI campus, Woods hole offers another great selection of retail stores, local food and drink, and entertainment.

Highfield Hall & Gardens, a five-star rated destination, is a magnificent Victorian mansion with beautiful gardens in the heart of Falmouth. While there's plenty of history within its glorious old walls, Highfield is now a vibrant cultural center offering international contemporary art exhibitions, music performances, culinary classes, family programs, and educational opportunities. The mansion is surrounded by nearly 400 acres of public conservation land and walking trails.
A brief and beautiful nature walk to a quiet beach. Just enough to shake a hangover and not too much to curse the choice.
Take a walk through the private neighborhood of a magnificent display of Cape Cod architecture. A stone's throw from Wood's Hole town center, Penzance Point boasts some of the most luxurious homes in Falmouth. Nearby Stony Beach is worth a visit before heading back to town center.
Falmouth's public golf course, CCCC is a great option to get last minute tee times and play a solid course for a reasonable price.
