The couples hair stylist Sami Sue thought they may be a good match since they both have great style, kind hearts, and a passion for 80’s music. She told Jamie about Brett during her hair appointment since Brett had mentioned he was looking for someone to date. Brett checked out her Instagram and he thought she had a pretty face and liked her fashion photos. Sami also shared a headshot of Brett that she had taken after his hair cut and Jamie’s first thought was “nice hair style and jaw line”. Jamie went to Brett’s instagram to see more photos and saw him playing in a band and knew that music would be a good conversion starter. Even though he had a photo of a kitten walking on a keyboard and she’s allergic to cats, she sent him the first message. Brett replied and they chatted and then met for the first time in person on May 9th, 2021 at Thai Basil to enjoy some Pad Thai and it was amazing. She discovered that the kitten was thankfully his mom’s, so not a deal breaker. Then they went back to his place with left overs and played guitar in Brett’s music room. Three days later they had a dance party to favorite 80s songs in Brett’s living room and that is when they shared their first kiss while Deff Leppard was playing. They have since shared many memories including dinner dates, beach trips, live music (including Deff Leppard), game nights, dancing, and even wrote a love song together called “Ocean Waves”. They look forward to more fun memories, love, and laughter together as they share life and husband and wife.
