What is camping like?

Answer

-Camping is available Friday to Saturday -It's festival style meaning we will all set up next to each other in a field, not a traditional campsite where every car/family gets their own site. Camp is a short distance from the cars, so walk in. There is limited RV space, so let me know if this is something you are interested in -Several porta potties, and hand wash stations are available near the tent sites, flushing toilets are a 5 minute walk away. -Ceremony and reception venue is a short walk down a hill to the lakefront area. There is a large shelter we can use for cooking, crafts, prepping for the wedding, and games. There is a large charcoal grill for cooking and a water fill station (this area isn't available to us until 9:30am on Friday) -there are a couple of other charcoal grills and picnic tables scattered around the property -showers are available at the venue, its like 5 $ per 5 minutes -Horning's hideout has some hiking trails, a disc golf course, and a small pond with paddle boats -Right now we are planning on providing food Friday night and Saturday night, and asking guests to coordinate other meals with family members

Can I bring my own drinks?

Yes! We are planning on having a couple of signature cocktails, some wine and beer. Feel free to bring anything else you need to enjoy the evening.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal/casual. Wear whatever you want to be comfortable! Dress up or dress down, make sure you are comfortable for a hot afternoon and a night of dancing! Horning's Hideout can get cold at night, so bring layers. Encouraging bright colors, sun dresses, light fabrics. Heels aren't advised because you will be walking on grass and gravel.

No. Wood burning is not allowed. Charcoal and propane fires are allowed.

What's on the menu?

Answer

On Friday we will be eating burgers and brats: vegan and gluten free options will be available. We will also have a side salad. Saturday, the evening of the wedding, will be catered by a local Lebanese restaurant. Entrees include chicken, salmon, a vegan eggplant dish, and Mac and cheese, along with other sides and dips.
