Emily and Jordan met in high school AP Chemistry when Jordan stole Emily’s seat. He was the jock, she did ballet, and somehow their complete inability to focus on class turned into a relationship. When Emily left for college in New York, they decided to try long distance, seeing each other about once a month. Between school, sports, and packed schedules, the distance gave them space to grow into adults while still having each other’s support. After six years of long distance, they finally decided enough was enough and moved back home to Tampa together. Since then, they’ve built a life full of love, laughter, and constant roasting, and have become proud caretakers to their cats, Jerry and Tucker. Jordan proposed on a family trip to Europe during a day trip to Paris, asking, “Will you travel with me for the rest of my life?” Emily didn’t hesitate; she said yes. Ten years, countless trips, endless teasing, and it all started with one little seat.
