We are Eloping rather than having a Wedding on July 13, 2023 to save money for a Honeymoon in July 2024.
Registry
Rather than gifts, Brandyn and I prefer traveling so we are asking for help to save for our Honeymoon in 2024 to New Zealand!
FAQs
When is the wedding?
- We are not having a wedding in order to save money and are instead Eloping on July 13, 2023 with just Parents present.
Why not save for a wedding?
- Brandyn and I both discussed this option and it didn't make much sense to us to spend thousands of dollars on a wedding that only last 6-8 hours versus a Honeymoon that lasts several days to a week or two.
Why not invite more to the Eloping?
- In order to keep the Eloping intimate and in order to prevent renting a park that costs money, we are just heading to a park with our Parents to get pictures, exchange vows, and then dinner.
Why not invite more to the dinner?
- Again, we want to save money and want the Eloping/Dinner to be more intimate so we are just keeping at Brandyn, myself, and our parents.
Are you sure about not having a wedding - you could just do a DIY to save?
- Absolutely, this is something we have talked about in detail. We are aware of the DIY option and the backyard option but do not wish for that.
