Los Arcos
No trip to Puerto Vallarta is complete without spending time at Los Arcos in Banderas Bay, Mexico. Spanish for “the Arches,” the Los Arcos is named for the huge gray granite islands pushing up out of the ocean in arch formations. Will & I had the surprise of our lives while sailing with PV Sails. As we were asked if we’d like to swim, a pod of whales approached and a life changing moment ensued. A lovely crew and sail to match.

The Church of our Lady Guadalupe. This magnificent church which soars above its adjacent buildings is the jewel in the crown of downtown Puerto Vallarta and a marvellous sight to behold.

If you’d like to soak up the Mexican beach culture beyond the gates of the all inclusive resorts. This is the place we like to visit and where the main event will be located as well. Tons of different beach bars to choose from for food and beverage.

Zona Romántica is our favorite neighborhood and where we will be dwelling. There are a variety of affordable hotels within walking distance to El Dorado and all that PV has to offer.
