Hotel
This is one of 2 hotels in our wedding block. Rooms at The Hilton are $149 per night before taxes. The Hilton is .2 miles from the Library. A short walk from the Hilton will take you to Providence's historic Federal Hill neighborhood and lovely Italian restaurants on Atwells Avenue.
Hotel
This is one of 2 hotels in our wedding block. Rooms at The Graduate range from $189-$209 per night before taxes. The Graduate is .3 miles from the Library. The Graduate is just a couple blocks from the Providence Riverwalk. A short walk across the river will take you into Providence's College Hill Neighborhood, home of RISD and Brown University.
Flight
T.F. Green is the closest airport to Providence. From the airport, it is about a 20-minute uber ride to either hotel or the Providence Public Library. There is also an MBTA commuter train on the Providence/Stoughton line that runs directly from T.F. Green to Providence. The train station in Providence is .6 miles from the Hilton and .4 miles from the Graduate.
Flight
If you choose to fly into Boston, there are a few options to travel down to Providence. An Uber is likely most expensive and would take 1.5-2.5 hours depending on the time of day. If you'd prefer a more affordable option, you can take the MBTA Silver Line from Logan to South Station. From South station, you can pick up an Amtrak train on the Northeast Regional or an MBTA commuter train on the Providence/Stoughton line.
Train
For our guests traveling from Delaware, Maryland, Philadelphia, or other metro areas in the Northeast, Amtrak's Northeast Regional train is probably the easiest, most stress-free way of travel. Guests can pick up the train in Wilmington, Philadelphia, New York, or other Northeast Amtrak stations and travel worry-free. The Amtrak station in Providence is the same as the MBTA commuter rail, less than a mile from either hotel in our wedding block.
Travel Note
For those guests who are not staying overnight, there are a few options for parking. There is metered parking on Greene Street (directly adjacent to the library). There is the Empire Lot, which allows parking reservations to be made online, through LAZ parking. (https://go.lazparking.com/search-results/Empire-Lot-Providence-RI?start=2024-11-10T22%3A45%3A31.701Z&end=2024-11-11T00%3A45%3A31.701Z) For those guests that would like to ride the wedding shuttle to and from the wedding, guests are welcome to park at the hourly lot at the Hilton Providence (21 Atwells Ave, Providence, RI 02903) and walk to the Hilton, or to park in the Biltmore Garage (51 Washington St, Providence, RI 02903) and walk to The Graduate to catch the shuttle.
A great place for wood-fired Neapolitan pizza, small apps, and salads.
One of many great Italian restaurants on Federal Hill, the Old Canteen is just past the arch that welcomes visitors to Federal Hill. It is known for it's old-school Italian feel.
Costantino's is another great restaurant on Federal Hill. After dinner, be sure to check out their market across the courtyard that sells Italian desserts and imported Italian goods.
We may be biased, but this is our favorite restaurant in Providence and the same place we're hosting our rehearsal dinner. Cassarino's is the first place in Providence we went to on a date. Known for their huge portions and great steaks, Cassarino's is a great place to have dinner in Federal Hill.
Beautiful art museum that has a rich collection of fine art, design and decorative art objects.
Hard at work on these... Talk soon.
