We met our freshman year at Arizona State University where we lived in the same dorm, Irish C. Our first official "hangout" came on Halloween. Soon after we began finding every excuse to spend time together from grabbing lunch together to late night study sessions. Our first official date was in April of 2014. We saw Captain America: The Winter Solider and grabbed dinner at Valle Luna.

Brandon was the first to say I love you. In a quiet hurry, he said "I love you" before hanging up the phone on his way to Amira's apartment. Upon his arrival (with flowers), Amira said "I love you too".

On the morning of Saturday February 18th, 2017, we hiked Devil's Bridge in Sedona, AZ. At the top, Brandon got down on one knee and popped the question. Of course, Amira said yes.

Surprise! You may have noticed that we didn’t sign a marriage certificate at the wedding… That is because we got legally married back in October of 2022 in a intimate (just or officiant, witnesses and photographer) elopement ceremony amongst the Sedona red rocks.
