Sometimes the most beautiful stories sneak up on you. That’s how it was with us. As charming as the Palouse is, it’s not exactly a hub for single 30-somethings hoping to meet their future spouse. So when our mutual friend suggested we might connect over our shared love of music, we were happy to prove him right, but neither one of us expected a whirlwind romance. And, in fact, what grew between us was something much steadier. Brad replacing Yeseul’s car battery when it died. Yeseul bringing Brad rice porridge when he was sick. Long conversations and cooking countless meals together (Yeseul is an excellent chef!). Ours was a gentle unfolding, built on small, consistent gestures. As our relationship deepened, we began to see how God was in every aspect of it – not just working behind the scenes, but within them. From being moved by the same part of a sermon to intuitively knowing what the other needed, we found a rhythm of grace, faith, and care that felt unmistakably right and good. So yes, even we are a little surprised! But that’s the beauty of it—the best gifts are unexpected, and love is the best kind of twist. You are warmly invited to the rolling hills of the Palouse where our story began. Come celebrate our wedding with us! Reception and dance to follow.
