Bryce & Julie’s first performance together
Every great love story has a catalyst — for us, it was Rachel, Julie’s maid of honor and best friend. Julie and Rachel met in 2018 and became best friends within the hour, roommates by 2019. When Julie moved back to Maine in 2020, Rachel met Bryce soon after, and a new friendship was born. She also happened to be the one who convinced Julie to move back to Dallas in 2023 — a decision that set everything in motion. The moment Julie returned, her career picked up right where it had left off, and fate quietly began connecting the dots. Fast-forward to December 2024: Bryce, now directing a concert and searching for sopranos, reached out to Rachel for recommendations. Without hesitation, she said, “You need to hire Julie.” The dates worked, the pay was fair, and on December 1st, Julie walked into his rehearsal for the first time. He was taller than she expected, greeted her with a warm side-hug, and it felt immediately right — the perfect greeting for knowing Bryce through Rachel. From their very first conversation, something clicked. They started sharing jokes, memes, and messages that made the rest of life feel lighter. Bryce was marathon training; Julie was barely keeping up with her packed performance calendar. But the communication was effortless. Their first date on December 23rd ended with an unexpected kiss and the unmistakable sense that the ground had shifted. Bryce’s emotional availability was startling in its honesty. He didn’t just listen — he expressed how he felt about Julie so openly that she couldn’t help but trust it. Her walls met his openness and found they didn’t need to stand anymore. A few short weeks later, she blurted out, “I would deadass go to a courthouse with you tomorrow,” and Bryce, without hesitation, said, “Same.” A stunned pause later, they both realized they meant it. After the silence passed, Bryce opened his Co-Star astrology app and confessed he’d bought their compatibility report days earlier. Across the screen appeared a full-page graphic emblazoned with the words: The Marriage Pact. Naturally, they made a Google Doc called Julie & Bryce’s Marriage Timeline — complete with phases, timelines, and checklists. They made their relationship official on January 11th, and by January 14th, their spreadsheet-style “marriage plan” was underway. Within months, they’d met each other’s families, discussed finances and futures, and realized just how deep their similarities ran. Both are marathon runners. Both love road trips, seafood, roller coasters, and the humble Filet-O-Fish sandwich. Both are musicians and teachers — two ADHD creatives who see the world through the same offbeat, empathetic lens. They’re quirky in all the same ways, right down to their collections of unusual instruments (Bryce has a theremin; Julie has a duduk). Even their pasts had eerie parallels: both worked for Sterling Corp — Bryce for Zales online, Julie for Jared and later managing a Kay Jewelers — and his miniature Neiman Marcus piano somehow echoed her own time working there. On April 20th, 2025, Bryce proposed in a field of Texas bluebonnets with Julie’s beloved dog Rosie and his axolotl Mudkip by their side. The ring was one Julie had once intended to resell — but like everything else about their story, it found its true home in time. They eloped in Maine on June 14th, 2025, sailing into married life on the coast during a three-week road-trip honeymoon through New England. Now they’re building their home together in Arlington — filled with music, laughter, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting. Two musicians, two runners, two Filet-O-Fish enthusiasts found in each other the rare kind of harmony that feels both improbable and inevitable — proof that sometimes, the universe doesn’t just nudge you together; it hands you a Google Doc and says, get started.
