Our Journey I met Yaa in Chicago through mutual friends, and at first it was just casual conversations and shared projects around technology. Week after week, we coded, brainstormed, and learned together, and those sessions quickly became the part of my week I looked forward to the most. Somewhere between late night debug sessions and shared ideas, our friendship quietly shifted into something deeper, until I finally took a breath, asked her out, and everything changed. Life with her has never been just about tech. First Chicago Fire game with her, the score didn’t go our way, but the vibes did. We have had deep conversations about life, religion, and sports, and I eventually discovered she is a sports analyst at heart. She helped me see the NFL in a whole new way, breaking down strategy and details I had never noticed before. We have enjoyed dinners across the Chicago dining scene, laughed together at comedy shows, and every time we go out, it simply feels right to be by her side. I love how playful she is with me. Sometimes I will do a random bunny hop or act silly just to see if she will join me, and she always does without hesitation. Her grounded nature does not stop her from being childlike with me, and I fall for her again every time. When we play games, her competitive side comes out. She loses a lot, but I do not let her win easily, because that would not be fair to her or to our future kids. Beneath all the fun and competition, what stands out most is her kindness and her selfless love. Anyone who knows my Yaa knows what a beautiful soul she is. A few seasons after we first met, on a windy yet gentle spring evening at the Honeycomb Pavilion in Lincoln Park Zoo, surrounded by our loved ones and the glow of the city, I asked her to be my wife. When she said yes, it felt like time stopped and everything in our journey clicked into place. What began as simple collaboration had grown into a partnership built on love, respect, and faith. Today, I look at her and at our story with a full and grateful heart, thankful for every twist that brought us here and excited for the life we are building together.

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!
While we love kids, we’ve decided to have an adults-only celebration. Thank you for making arrangements.
