Katie and Rob met at a snowshoe event hosted by a mutual friend in Stowe, Vermont. Katie lived in Florida at the time and Rob drove up from Portland, ME. They hit it off immediately and planned to stay in touch despite Katie's crazy work travel schedule. Not long after, a flu-like virus which had been the subject of small talk that first weekend became a much bigger part of everyone's lives. Maybe you've heard of it. Seeing an opportunity, Rob invited her to Maine for a few days. A few days became a few weeks then months as they rode out the pandemic together in his cozy one bedroom home. Realizing they wanted something more than temporary, Katie returned to Florida briefly, packed up her belongings, her dog Nuggz, and then conned her best friend Kay to drive with her from Fort Lauderdale to Portland permanently. Renting an apartment sight unseen, she settled in, fell in love with Portland, and they fell even more in love with each other. After months of open discussion of the topic, Rob proposed the summer of 2022. They are both thrilled to have you all help them celebrate the start of their life together!
