Bobby and Thania first met at a Foodieland event in San Diego, but their initial encounter didn’t lead to any significant connection. It wasn’t until they crossed paths again, with the introduction from mutual acquaintances, that they discovered a mutual interest. From then on, they started spending more time together. One memorable moment was when Bobby took the initiative to pick up Thania, her sister, and one of her friends to go on a trip to Foodieland in San Mateo. This was the experience that marked the beginning of a deepening bond as they learn more about each other.

On October 12th, 2022, Bobby and Thania had planned on going for a “holiday” trip to Las Vegas. Without her knowledge, Bobby had orchestrated a proposal with the presence of their cherished friends and family. As they prepared to go out for dinner at a lounge, Bobby mysteriously vanished, prompting everyone to encourage Thania to seek him out in his room. As she complied and opened the door, she found Bobby standing in a beautifully decorated setting of lights and rose petals. As feelings of confusion and elation overcame her, she became speechless. Bobby, visibly nervous, took her hand and led her down a path with rose petals, he knelt down on one knee and finally asked “Will you marry me?” and without a moment’s hesitation, she said “YES!”, and in that moment, they became engaged, surrounded by the love and support of their dear friends and family.
