We all know the classic song - Next Thing you Know By Jordan Davis. Well this kind of follows how Tristan and I met. We were both out with our friends at a bar in January ! I saw him and thought this guy is cute, I need to talk to him. So I walked over and we started talking and gave him my number. The next morning he texted me and that's when everything started. We both are people who wear our hearts on our sleeves. Within the first day we had talked for many hours. We had about an 8 hour facetime call that night and told each other our stories. I don't think after that we went a night without falling asleep on facetime. We wanted to be able to " go to sleep seeing one another and wake up seeing one another". Our first road trip was in February . We went on a ski / snowboard trip to West Virginia. This was when we knew it was going to be a forever thing. Gliding down the slopes to country music with my best friend. Now it's March, about two weeks later. I am going to be meeting his mom and brother for the first time! They came to Nashville to visit and we had a great time showing them around. One day we went to the store I was working at ( Men's Wearhouse)to look at clothing. I happened to see a CUSTOM TUX on sale for next to nothing that was his size someone had returned. With the price and the discount I couldn't pass it up and bought it for him. The only stipulation was not wearing it till we get married! By this time I was driving an hour to Clarksville to see him every day during the week and he was coming over every weekend to see me. We didn't go a day without seeing each other. In March we also went to Gatlinburg. I got to show him around the town I grew up vacationing at. We went moonshine tasting and went to the amusement park! In April we went to Vegas. ( If I were telling you this story any other time you would think we might have gotten married. We didn't) This was supposed to be the last few days I would see him before he had to move back to Ohio. It was an awesome trip but I knew the second we got back he was getting on another flight to go home. We landed in Nashville on Thursday April 28th. We made a split second decision for me to get on a flight and spend the weekend in Ohio with him. We couldn't stand thinking about not getting to see each other. We landed in Ohio and at this point I had been applying to jobs. We decided if I found a job in Ohio I would move there and we would live together. It is now May. I found a job and interviewed in the first week of May. I put in my two weeks and moved to Ohio May 21st and started my job May 23rd. We bought our house and moved in on June first. Now your probably thinking that must have been so hectic and insanely crazy to do all at once. It was but it was the best decision we could have made. In September we went on a cruise together for 7 days. Cozumel, Belize, and Mahogany Bay in Mexico. This was such a wonderful trip. It was Tristan's first time on a cruise and he loved it. We couldn't wait to go again so much so we booked a cruise to go on with both our families in October! We went to Cozumel and Costa Maya in Mexico. We have done so much more together in this short amount of time than we had ever done. Accomplishing buying a home, In our careers, having the best daughter and getting to do what we love, and travel. If I continue this story will go on forever but this is just a glimpse of the beginning of our love story. We are both so excited to continue our journey together and build a life we have always dreamed of having. Traveling the world and continuing to make memories. The things we love most are family and creating memories with our family to last a lifetime.
