Our ceremony is in a historic small venue that seats 75 guests in pews. The doors to the Chapel will be left open during the ceremony so all guests can hear and view the ceremony. The ceremony will be very short and we encourage those who can stand comfortably for 15 minutes to leave seats for family and those with mobility issues.

Airports and Hotels
Airport: Mount Vernon is roughly 45 minutes from Columbus, Ohio. The closest airport is the John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH). We live in Sunbury, Ohio in between Columbus and Mount Vernon. Accommodations: We suggest staying in a hotel or AirBnB closer to Columbus in neighborhoods like Westerville, Easton, Polaris, or Lewis Center. October 17-19th is Kenyon College Parent's Weekend and hotels and AirBnBs in the Mt. Vernon area are fairly booked. We would recommend staying closer to Columbus/Westerville. Transportation: Ubers and Taxis are available in Columbus but not in Mt. Vernon. We recommend renting a car and/or carpooling from Columbus to the wedding venue and reception.

Where is the ceremony happening? How far is it from the reception venue?
Answer
We are having a short ceremony before our reception at Quarry Chapel with limited space. Our historic venue (https://quarrychapel.com/) only has room to seat 80 people comfortably. The ceremony is located 5 miles from the reception and we recommend people meet at The Alcove and carpool to the Quarry Chapel.

What is the dress code?
Answer
Our afternoon wedding is meant to be focused on enjoying each other's company and having fun. Wear what makes you feel comfortable. There is NO heat at Quarry Chapel, please bring a jacket if it is cool outside.

Is parking available at each venue?
Answer
The ceremony at Quarry Chapel has limited lot parking but should be able to accommodate everyone with additional parking in a field across the street. We ask that people meet at The Alcove and carpool to Quarry Chapel for the ceremony. The Alcove has both street parking in front of the restaurant, and several free surface lots with in 1-2 blocks of the restaurant.

Surprise! We are bypassing those events. We are taking the non-traditional route and just throwing one big party with our favorite people. We are looking forward to seeing you on the 18th.
