Their story began long before they ever knew each other. In June of 2019, Davey moved from his small hometown in Colorado after college to start a new life in Arizona. In June of 2020, Bergen left her hometown in Oregon and made the same move to Arizona to begin beauty school that fall. They didn’t know it then but life was quietly guiding them toward each other. They were introduced—indirectly—through a mutual acquaintance and were both told they were meant for each other. For about a month, they knew of each other but hadn’t spoken yet. Then one day Davey finally worked up the courage to send Bergen a message. From that very first conversation, everything changed. They texted non-stop, day and night, as if they were catching up after years apart. Every word came effortlessly, and every conversation felt familiar. When they met in person, it was like looking into the eyes of someone they had always known. The connection was immediate and undeniable. They quickly became best friends and something even more—they became home to each other. Now, after four years of laughter, late-night talks, adventures, and growing together, they are still each other’s favorite person. They can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives giggling, dreaming, and walking hand in hand—just like they did on their very first date.
