How we met
We were stationed together in 2017, Benny would always look at me and never say anything. The entire two years we were stationed together we never spoke a word to each other. Fast forward to May 2021, I was stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln, Benny was on the ship for ammunition off load. I kept seeing him around the ship and again he kept staring and not say anything. Finally, I was tired of the stares and went up and spoke to him when I saw him in the mess decks. Angela "Hey, you were at HSC-3 right?" Benny "yeah." Angela "Oh ok, you're station at HSC-6 now?" (it clearly said that on his flight deck jersey). Benny "yeah." Angela "Oh ok, are you going on the next deployment?" Benny "no." Angela "ok, it was nice running into you." I walk off. Fast forward again. It is now November 2021 I'm on Facebook dating and guess who sends me a message, Benny.... and all he said was hahaha, all I could do was laugh back, because how ironic. And here we are today!

How long does it take to get a passport?

If you don't have one already, please start working on it as soon as you finish this FAQ. How can I book my trip?

Please see the travel section. There you will find the site to our travel agent, she will help you with booking your room and flights.

Where can I stay?
Answer
You will stay at Dreams Natura. If you book a hotel or Airbnb, you pose the risk of not being able to attend the wedding or any of the other events. Do book through the link in the travel section.

Can I set up a payment plan for the trip?
Answer
Yes, under the travel section on this site there is view tab. You will be redirected to our booking site, select your room type, pay the deposit and reach out to Carol via phone or email to set up your payment plan. Her information is on the booking site.

Do you have a room block?
Answer
Yes we do. You can travel between August 4 2025 and August 11 2025. Please Please Please book through our room. If you have any questions reach out to either one of us.

What should I pack?
Answer
Passport, outfit for the wedding, beach attire, breathable clothing, an all-white outfit, sunglasses, sunscreen (yes, we have to protect our melanin).

When Should I arrive to the Resort?
Answer
We ask that you arrive Tuesday August 5th and stay until Saturday August 9th. This is a vacation for you all as well so please stay and enjoy yourselves as long as you want.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony starts at 5pm. Please arrive 5-10 mins early so that you can be seated. If you are arriving later than that you will not be able to attend the ceremony. You will have to wait until after it is over to join us.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Dress to impress! I want you looking your best! Semi formal! Browns, beige, sage green, neutral tones would be nice and preferred! Nothing bright. Fellas think linen pants/shorts, short-sleeved bottom down shirts, Ladies think flowy maxi dress (if you're a dress girly), something breathable, and lite. Remember it will be warm. Please DO NOT wear white on the day of the wedding!!!

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Please let us know once you RSVP. We want everyone to be able to enjoy the food at the reception.

Will there be any events besides the wedding that I should know about?
Answer
Yes!! We have plans for you all the night before and the day after the wedding. Once you have booked your flight, room and have RSVP'd, you will receive an itinerary that will detail the events.

Can I take pictures to post on social media?
Answer
Yes, take all the pictures and videos you want. Be sure to use our hashtag #TwoShotsOfLumpkins. Please be mindful and respectful of the photographer we hired to be there.
