We're excited to host and organize an "Adventure Tour" beginning near Samarkand, Uzbekistan and concluding in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The tour officially starts on September 16th, though we recommend arriving in Samarkand a day early to take in the sights and explore the city. Below is a simplified itinerary to help with your planning: Day 1: Depart from Samarkand and head toward the Fann Mountains, passing through the Seven Lakes region. We’ll arrive at a small mountain village where you can unwind and explore the surroundings. Day 2: Venture deeper into the mountains for scenic hikes before returning for another overnight stay. Day 3: Enjoy shorter hikes and visit Iskanderkul Lake before continuing on to Dushanbe, where the tour concludes.

We’ll be hosting an overnight stay in Nurek, located ~1.5 hours from Dushanbe. While it’s possible to visit as a day trip, we highly recommend staying overnight with us to fully enjoy.
The most convenient option and main gateway to Tajikistan is Dushanbe International Airport (DYU). Alternatively, you can fly into Uzbekistan. The closest Uzbek airport to Dushanbe is Samarkand (SKD), though Bukhara (BHK) and Tashkent (TAS) are also viable options, depending on your travel plans.
Tajikistan: U.S. citizens can enter visa-free for stays of up to 30 days. However, travelers are required to register with local authorities upon arrival. Uzbekistan: U.S. citizens can enter for tourism for up to 30 days with an e-visa, which must be obtained online prior to arrival.
While in Dushanbe, we recommend visiting the national museums, Mehrgon Bazaar, Rudaki Park, and the Ismaili Centre. If you’re looking for more to explore, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to provide additional recommendations! For those looking to extend their adventure, the Pamir Mountains / Highway in Tajikistan requires time and planning, but offers an unforgettable mountain landscape. In Uzbekistan, we'd reccomend the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Bukhara, a remarkably preserved medieval city, and Samarkand, another cultural and architectural city near the Tajik border.
