Our journey began on the Upward dating app. Before I even downloaded it, I felt a strong, God-led nudge to give it a try, despite having taken a break from dating apps for about two years. Nathan had never used one before, and I remember thinking this app was a bit crazy—everyone was far away, and you had to pay to edit your profile details. But then, I came across Nathan’s profile, and one photo caught my eye—a picture from his friend's wedding with a pastry shoved in his mouth. I thought, "Same, I would do that!" Only someone with a quirky side would post that! His profile also had a cute dog and a gym photo—thankfully, not a shirtless one, or we might not be here today! From our very first conversation, we connected. Nathan initiated every conversation, and we quickly became known for sending "wall texts" back and forth. My friend Veronica, who had seen me that night, predicted the messages would slow down eventually, but to my delight, they didn’t. We never ran out of things to talk about, and we still don’t to this day! Despite living an hour and 40 minutes away, Nathan did everything he could to see me, and the distance never mattered. He was too good to be true—like someone straight out of a fairytale, and I couldn’t believe how blessed I was to have him in my life. But then, I realized it wasn’t a dream—it was God's perfect plan. I thank Him every day for bringing Nathan into my life. And so, the rest is history!
