All visitors entering Ghana must be in possession of: 1) A passport valid at least 6 months. 2) An entry visa. 3) Yellow fever vaccination *Malaria pills are recommended, but not mandatory

VISA

All visa applications MUST be completed online at www.ghanaembassydc.org. On the website, www.ghanaembassydc.org, click on APPLICATIONS, and click on visa application to complete the form. After completing the visa application, download and print the application. Mail the passport with the printed copy of the visa application, two (2) current passport size photographs and all the required supporting documents to the Embassy. For Children: Parents must complete the child’s visa application form, add the 2 passport size photographs, and the required supporting documents, which are: a Photocopy of the child’s birth certificate; a signed and notarized consent letter by both parents, as well as copies of both parents’ picture IDs. Your package should be mailed to either one of the following addresses (Regular or Expedited Address: Embassy of Ghana Consular Section (Expedited) 3512 International Dr. NW Washington, DC 20008 Embassy of Ghana Consular Section (Regular) 3512 International Dr. NW Washington, DC 20008 Other guests who are not residing within the US can look for the nearest consulate/embassy to mail such documents.

YELLOW FEVER VACCINE

1)To prevent yellow fever, all travelers aged 9 months or older should get vaccinated at least 10 days before travel. (Vaccination is required for entry to Ghana.) 2)Yellow fever vaccine is not recommended for some people. Because of the current outbreak, people who have never been vaccinated against yellow fever should avoid travel to Ghana. 3)Certain travelers who received yellow fever vaccine 10 or more years ago should talk with a travel medicine provider about getting a booster before traveling to affected areas in Ghana. Recommendations on yellow fever vaccine booster doses can be found here. 4)Travelers should seek medical care immediately if they develop fever, chills, severe headache, back pain, general body aches, nausea and vomiting, fatigue, or weakness.

HOW DO I EXCHANGE MY FOREGIN CURRENCY TO GHANA CEDIS ₵ ?

Foreign currency can be freely exchanged at any Forex Bureau in the country. They only accept the latest $50 and $100 bills for currency exchange. USD bills older than series 2003-2006 will not be accepted for exchange.

The white wedding will be held in New Jersey, USA in 2025. The official date has not yet been decided. However, family and friends will all be notified once a date has been set.
