Question

What are the Covid-19 protocols for ENTERING Canada?

Answer

While things are subject to change, as of right now fully vaccinated US Citizens with a negative Covid test do not need to quarantine upon arrival. All travelers coming into Canada, regardless of vaccine status, will need a negative PCR or molecular test within 72 hours of requesting entry (ANTIGEN NOT ACCEPTED) to Canada. We visited Canada and the fall and the entry process is described below: 1. Download ArriveCAN on your phone and upload your vaccination card and negative PCR Test. Once you complete these steps, you will receive a "receipt" on your phone. 2. Show vaccination card and negative PCR test to the airline. 3. On arrival, you will complete your declaration form on a Kiosk and head to the immigration line. 4. At immigration, you will show your ArriveCAN receipt and they will let you proceed to baggage claim. Question

How do we RE-ENTER the United States?

Answer

The U.S requires an Antigen test (Covid 19 Home Tests) to re-enter the U.S. Home tests will provided in your welcome back for you to take within 72 hours of departure and upload on the ArriveCan app. Guests who have had for Covid-19 within 90 days of March 19 do NOT have to take an Antigen test and can use a letter from their doctor staying they'v had Covid and recovered to get back into the U.S. Jamie and I visited Canada in the Fall and took the following steps to re-enter the U.S: 1. Take Antigen test at hotel or upload note from doctor saying you had Covid 2. Download Nativa app to take test on camera w/ medical proctor (instructions are provided clearly). 4. Take test with medical proctor (10 min). 5. Wait for results (15 min) 6. Verify and upload results to airline. **As a friendly reminder, Antigen tests are not accepted for entry to Canada but are accepted for re-entry to the U.S. Please contact Jamie or Sarah with any questions or visit the Canadian government website.

Question

Will there be transport to and from the wedding? Or should I rent a car?

Answer

There are several shuttle services and Ubers to and from the airport. All of the festivities will take place at or near the Fairmont Banff Springs. Unless you are planning to explore other sites or parks, I would not recommend renting a car. Please feel out flight information on "Travel" tab. For guests arriving Thursday and leaving early Monday. Shuttles will be coordinated from Calgary International Airport on Thursday evening and from Banff to Calgary Sunday afternoon.

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

We recommend flying into Calgary International Airport in Alberta and taking an Uber/Lyft/Shuttle to Banff. Banff is approximately an hour and a half from Calgary.

The weather varies in March each year; however, the ceremony will be outdoors. While the ceremony will only be 30 minutes, please dress accordingly (coats, gloves, scarves).
