We met on a chilly March evening in 2020, the kind where winter still clung to the air. Our mutual friend had invited “a few people” to a bonfire party, which—true to their style—turned into a full backyard gathering with music, mismatched chairs, and a fire that crackled loud enough to fill any awkward silence. We talked easily beside the flames, laughing about old stories and how strange that year already felt. But the real shift happened when someone mentioned the cows, and Bailey's eyes lit up like you’d just heard the best idea of the night. “Wanna go feed them?” Bailey asked. Next thing you know Bailey was jumping over the fence while Davis was just watching her and falling in love.
Davis and Bailey had been talking for a couple months and then came the ghosting.. Davis decided to see if Bailey was really the one. He tested her by not talking to her for a week, he decided that if she really wanted him she would try as hard as possible. After that week Davis decided that she really was the one and even hated the fact that he didn't talk to her. So at the next "bonfire gathering" on May 16th at 2 in the morning he decided to ask Bailey if she wanted to be his girlfriend. She of course said Yes!
What was one of the hottest days of the year, Davis decided to take Bailey on a date. They went to eat at Olive Garden then to one of Bailey's favorite places; Sunken Gardens. They walked around looked at the beautiful flowers and took pictures. They decided it was too hot to stay there any longer and headed back home. Little did Bailey know that Davis just so happened to "forget" some tools at the farm. They then made their way there and walked to the back by the docks where Davis got on one knee and decided to ask to spend forever together... She of course said YES!!
