Reece and Sara first crossed paths in the third grade, but their story started even earlier. Their moms worked together not long after they were born — Reece in October 2005, and Sara the following September in 2006. Life took their families in different directions, with new towns and jobs, never knowing they'd reconnect in the future. That reconnection happened when Sara transferred to Reece’s elementary school in the third grade. Reece was the one chosen to give her a tour of the school — a moment that seemed small at the time, but would grow into something unforgettable. Through the years, they passed one another in hallways and classrooms until seventh grade, when they shared a final period math class. It was in that class where they first realized how funny, charming, and just maybe... a little bit cute the other was. By eighth grade (2020), Reece nervously typed on a classroom computer: "Would you like to go out?" Sara, sitting beside him, said yes — and the rest is history. They graduated high school together, and now attend Lyon College side by side, chasing a shared dream: to open a mixed-animal veterinary practice that brings care and compassion to both large and small animals across South Arkansas. One to stay in the clinic, the other out on calls — always working as a team, never alone. “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Mother of the Bride and Planner
Sara’s mom has been her biggest supporter from the very beginning — planner, encourager, and prayer warrior all in one. She’s helped shape Sara into the woman she is today and has been by her side every step of the way, including this exciting journey toward “I do.” With love, wisdom, and a whole lot of grace, she’s played a beautiful role not only in this wedding, but in the love story behind it.
