Self-uniting is a type of marriage that requires no third-party officiant or member of the clergy. Instead, the two individuals declare themselves married in the presence of witnesses. Pennsylvania has recognized self-uniting marriages for centuries due to its Quaker origins.
April 15, 2025 RSVP below. This event is adults-only. Thank you for understanding!
We recommend garden casual attire (e.g., sundresses, jumpsuits, gardening gloves, shorts, pants, cool prints, button downs) or whatever makes you feel good :) We plan to have some yard games (e.g., bocce ball, horse shoes). Dress for victory.
There will be a cocktail hour with refreshments and snacks, an open bar, and dinner buffet. Please let us know in your RSVP if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions.
The ceremony and reception will be mostly outdoors. There will be a large tent to party in. The tent is connected to covered direct access to the restrooms (located downstairs/by elevator). Free parking reserved for the event is available in the lot in front of the museum. (No parking on the grass.) Additional parking nearby is available throughout FDR park. Rideshare can drop off/pick up in front of museum. The building is ADA wheelchair accessible and accessible parking is available along Pattison Ave by the Museum's rear entrance.
Yes, we have access to the whole museum! There are lots of cool textiles and maps and a floor made of cork soaked in tobacco.
Which table will achieve ultimate glory? Fill out the Quizzo sheet with your fellow table-mates and bring it to Table 3. Answers and winners will be announced after dinner. (Each table will have a couple copies so everyone can read the questions. Please bring only one completed sheet up and don't forget to write down your team name!)
