Kyler and Austyn met at ProSport Sports Performance in Orange County through mutual friends. Before Austyn left for a job in Wisconsin, a group of friends went out for drinks, bonding over craft beer and big life changes. When Kyler heard she was heading to the Midwest, he insisted she try his favorite beer, Zombie Dust, joking that if she ever found it, she’d be his favorite person forever. In 2017, Austyn moved to Los Angeles to work at UCLA. By 2019, a group text turned into a one-on-one dinner when everyone else was busy. Austyn was late, they talked all night—and haven’t stopped talking since. As Kyler’s work trips to LA increased, so did their time together, despite a very awkward “are we just friends?” phase (mostly on Austyn’s end). After a few trips and extending his stays, where things finally became clear. Austyn’s first trip up to visit Kyler was for his birthday weekend, where he was on the hook to plan. He enlisted his friend Jeremy- who orchestrated their real first date: coffee and breakfast in Livermore, wineries throughout the day, and dinner to end the night. It was perfect. That weekend, Austyn met two of Kyler’s closest friends, Mark and Stacey, who quickly became staples of their frequent Livermore visits. Throughout the year, Santa Barbara became their regular meeting place as it was relatively in between both of them, and during one trip Kyler casually asked, “Do you want to keep doing this with me?” Austyn said yes, and Kyler’s response was “cool so no returns or exchanges”, making them officially official. More trips followed, including one where Austyn finally found Zombie Dust on a Midwest work trip and surprised Kyler—officially earning her “favorite person forever” status. Then the pandemic hit. Two weeks together in the Bay turned into four months, making it clear they didn’t want to be apart. In January 2021, Austyn moved to the Bay Area to start her job at Stanford and be with Kyler full-time. After several national championship rings (for Austyn’s gymnastics teams) and plenty of patience, Kyler finally proposed on January 10, 2025—during a Stanford ring ceremony. When Austyn opened her ring box, it wasn’t a championship ring. Kyler walked in, got down on one knee, and asked, “So… Do you want to do this thing?” (Yes, from New Girl.) Austyn walked away with two rings that day. Kyler stayed for 15 minutes—then left for a hunting trip. Austyn spent her first night engaged, working late and having dinner with Kyler’s parents (If you’re wondering, the hunting was amazing that day). Pretty much sums us up—and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

We'll post our registry here when we're finished building it. Thank you in advance!
Located in Austyn’s hometown of Golden, the Coors Brewery is a local staple and a favorite of Kyler’s. Tours and taproom reservations do book up, so we recommend planning ahead if this is on your list.
A legendary Colorado classic many locals went to as kids for the sopapillas, cliff divers, and the occasional gorilla sighting. After a recent makeover, the food is much improved while the sopapillas remain a highlight, making this an iconic stop especially for South Park fans. Fun fact: Kyler has been requesting a visit for years, and with a family connection to the show (looking at you, Kellie), this might finally be the trip. Please note that Casa Bonita is currently reservation-only and spots book quickly, so if this is a must on your visit list, we recommend signing up for emails and grabbing a reservation as soon as August dates open.
A go-to stop for Austyn’s siblings and a place Kyler and Austyn somehow always end up whenever they’re back in town. With a great beer selection, dogs to pet, and views of downtown Golden at the base of Table Mountain, it’s hard to beat. Great beer, good dogs, and even better views.
While not directly on the way to Idaho Springs, this spot is well worth the stop. With views looking out over the Front Range, it’s perfect for a daytime hang or catching sunset, with a full kitchen, bar, and great beer selection. One of Austyn’s favorite summer spots to relax and soak in the beauty of Colorado.
If you’re venturing farther into the Rockies, we recommend a stop at Cabin Creek Brewing, located about a 20-minute drive west of the venue. Enjoy a local beer, a large pretzel (one of our favorites!), and other food options, all paired with beautiful mountain views that make it well worth the drive.
A great all-in-one stop offering a wide variety of food options, drinks, and unbeatable views of downtown Golden. With something for everyone and a lively atmosphere, it’s an easy choice for groups looking to eat, drink, and enjoy the scenery in one place.
A uniquely Colorado experience located right in Idaho Springs, featuring natural mineral pools, hot tubs, and caves. While days can be warm in late summer, evenings cool off quickly in the mountains, making this a great way to unwind after a day of travel or exploring. Reservations are recommended, as this spot is popular year-round.
Blackstone River Ranch is located in Idaho Springs, Colorado, approximately 45 minutes west of Denver and about 1–1.25 hours from Denver International Airport, depending on traffic.
Yes, however parking is limited. We recommend carpooling. Please note that overnight parking is not permitted at the venue.
Ride-share services may be limited in Idaho Springs, especially later in the evening. Guests are encouraged to plan transportation in advance, consider carpooling, or arrange a designated driver if needed.
The ceremony and reception will be hosted outdoors. The reception will be held under a large tent (with heat if needed). We recommend planning for sun during the afternoon and bringing layers, as temperatures can cool off in the evening.
Mountain formal. This means elevated wedding attire that’s practical for an outdoor setting. We recommend dresses or dressy jumpsuits, suits or sport coats, and shoes appropriate for grass or gravel. Please bring layers and consider comfortable footwear, as mountain weather can shift quickly.
Mountain weather can be unpredictable. Expect warmer daytime temperatures and cooler evenings. Guests should plan for sun, wind, and possible temperature changes.
Guests are encouraged to arrive starting at 3:30 PM to get settled before the ceremony begins promptly at 4:00 PM.
We kindly ask that our ceremony be unplugged and phone-free, so everyone can be fully present with us. During the reception, please feel free to take photos and capture memories!
For guests traveling from out of state, we recommend flying into Denver International Airport (DIA) and renting a car. The venue is located in Colorado’s upper foothills at approximately 7,700 feet of elevation, and the drive offers beautiful mountain scenery.
