It all started back in 2018, when our paths finally crossed in the most unexpected of places: a corporate office building in Plano, TX. We were colleagues, sitting just across the cubicle from each other. While Austin went about his business as usual, Beth—determined to get his attention—found every excuse to "ask for help" (because, really, have you seen him?!). One afternoon, during an office bags game, something electric happened. Our first SUPERSONIC BOOM High Five echoed through the office, sending chills down everyone’s spine. We both felt it—a spark that was hard to ignore. After that, we exchanged numbers, though Austin, ever the professional, made it clear, “I don’t date coworkers.” GASP! But the Universe had other plans for us. After a few months of patience (and a little encouragement), Beth found a new job. The moment she got her new work email, she wasted no time and invited Austin out for margaritas. The night went exceptionally well, and soon, margarita dates became a regular thing—until the pandemic arrived, shutting down our margarita dates and moving us 371 miles apart! In Spring of 2021, we both started new jobs in downtown Dallas—and, you guessed it, found ourselves working in the same office building once again. This time, though, we were on different floors and with different companies. Living just 2 miles apart, Austin won Beth over once more, this time with a spontaneous bike ride through Dallas—a date that sealed the deal. What started as coworkers blossomed into an unbreakable bond of best friends and soulmates. Whether we're backpacking 30 miles in three days or "sit dancing" on a hillside at a music festival, our hearts overflow with gratitude and love. We can't wait for the many more adventures that lie ahead.
