We first met when we were sixteen years old through our mutual friend, Bryton Degelbeck. I was a Senior and he was a Junior. He had a crush first, but I didn't even think of him that way to begin with because I thought he was closer to my brother's age then mine! He persevered though. He commented on my photos, hung out with my friends every chance he could get, and even slid into my DMs. (Which I swear on my LIFE, I did not see until a few months later, although he might say otherwise...) Finally, in the summer of 2016, almost a full year of him pursuing me, we had a fire over at his parents house with some friends. I was ready to head home, so I said my goodbyes and headed to the side gate. To my surprise, it would not open. After standing by the gate for what felt like an eternity, contemplating my life choices, I thought I should probably ask how to escape his backyard. Tristan immediately jumped out of his seat and said he could just take me through his house. He did, but instead of just walking me to the front door and closing it behind me, he walked out with me...and then all the way to my car...and then opened my car door. Several drive-in movie dates later, he asked me to be his girlfriend on July 29th, 2016. He then asked me to Homecoming, then Prom, then he asked me if I'd want to move in together. Two cats, our first home and many Disneyland trips later, he finally asked me to marry him on January 13th 2022. The rest is history.
