When You Know You Know

We both felt that knowing on the first date. We orbited each other for years, throughout college, our professional lives, but it was just a smile and a hello for the longest time. Dave knew before Ashley did and tried in earnest for months to take her on a date. Some sporadic messages in the DMs here and there, talking about their cats, Dave was looking for an in. One night Ashley messaged Dave, "Can I call you?" He was at work but wasn't going to miss this call. She said "I've avoided dating you for a long time." The stars aligned. Better together, we dreamed of our future. And it brought us to San Diego, where the Pacific meets the sky. Our next big adventure is a walk down the aisle with you there to celebrate. This photo is from our second date that same week.

Travel

The Wedding Website of Ashley Pratt and Dave Eassa
We are so grateful that you're traveling to San Diego for our wedding. We hope that you can make a trip out of it! We recommend you arrive Thursday evening or Friday morning, and depart Sunday or Monday. The Big Day is in La Jolla. We suggest you look for lodging in the neighborhoods of: • Pacific Beach - Near La Jolla • Mission Beach - In the middle • Ocean Beach - Where we live! They are centrally located to the weekend's festivities, walkable, surrounded by great restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and grocery stores, and most importantly coastal! A rental car is encouraged, to get around or a ride share app. All dependent on where you plan to stay, or sights you want to see.

Travel Note

Flights

Southwest usually has an early morning, and late afternoon direct flight from BWI to SAN. Once you land in San Diego, the airport is 10 - 20 minutes from anywhere you would need to go! Uber/Lyft or care rental are the easiest and most effective. Other airlines with direct flights: • Delta • American Airlines

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

May 1, 2024

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yay you're coming to our wedding! Your invitation indicates whether or not you have a plus one. We cannot accommodate additional guests. Make friends and have fun with the loved ones we've gathered.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love the children in our life, our wedding is an adults-only event. With the exception of our nieces and nephews. Should you elect to travel with your kiddos, we'll be happy to help identify childcare.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal: Mid to floor length dresses, vibrant colors if you got 'em. Fellas wear a suit. Most importantly wear what you can dance in. It's San Diego! Go off! We made a style guide. Answer

Please let us know at your earliest convenience any allergies, the evening's food service won't be a seated dinner. Otherwise, everything will be both meat and vegetarian options.

There is ample street parking at both of the Museum entrances S Coast BLVD, Prospect ST and the surrounding area. It is however going to be a party, we lovingly encourage the use of ride share for Saturday evening.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

There will be a welcome event Friday, and a beach day Sunday. We hope your travel plans allow you to join us for all of it.

Question

If I rsvp'd yes and need to cancel, what should I do?

Answer

You will be missed! But we get it, it's not a small, easy, or cheap trip. Please let us know as soon as possible. We understand why it may not work for everyone. It means the world to us that you would consider it.
