Neither of us were looking for love when we met. We were both divorced, rebuilding parts of our lives, and honestly just trying to enjoy peace again. What started as a simple conversation on Bumble quickly became something that felt easy, genuine, and familiar in a way neither of us expected. Our early conversations were effortless, talking about movies, Netflix shows, life, and the little things that somehow turned into hours of getting to know each other. There was no pressure to impress or pretend. Just comfort, laughter, honesty, and a connection that felt instant. Then came our first meeting at Waffle House. Travis says the moment I touched his hand, he knew he was completely smitten. Looking back now, maybe that was the moment we both quietly realized this was going to be different. Since August 31, 2022, we’ve built a relationship rooted in love, friendship, patience, and peace. Life has not always been easy. We’ve walked through difficult moments together, but through every challenge, we showed up for each other with grace, support, and understanding. One of the things we love most about our relationship is that we allow each other space to grow while always making sure the other feels loved, wanted, and valued. What we found together feels calm, safe, and steady. It’s peaceful. It’s home. Somewhere between late night conversations, shared laughter, hard seasons, and quiet moments, we realized we weren’t just building a relationship, we were building a life. He makes my soul smile.
