Jumped Out of a Plane

Love pushes limits

I'm terrified of heights, but Ashley lives for adventure. I guess that's what true love is all about: pushing your limits and taking you to places you never imagined. (Like jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. Yeah, never again.)

Take a picture, it lasts longer

Meet Cute

Women ALWAYS know things, even if you think we don’t, we do. Female intuition isn’t witchcraft, but it kinda feels like it. The day I met Tom, he was SUPER creepy. I caught his ass staring at me. Naturally, I looked away, but when I looked back moments later, he was STILL staring! Talk about a “Peeping Tom.” The strangest thing happened after catching him the second time, a voice inside my head (not the murdering kind like Dexter Morgan) said, “Oh, there you are.” Like I’d been looking for him my whole life. Somewhere between his staring and our first three dates, I knew I wanted to be “Mrs. Peeping Tom.”

Wedding Party

Greg Hoefert

Groomsman

Greg has been one of my dearest friends since third grade, and I can't imagine celebrating my wedding without him by my side. He's truly one of the most important people in my life. (And I know he'd want me to mention his unwavering devotion to Beyoncé!)

Carlos Covarrubias

Groomsman

Carlos is one of my closest friends in the world. We've been close since our childhood, when our shared love of soccer sparked a lifelong friendship. He's the definition of a true friend—trustworthy, reliable, and incredibly loyal. (And when he's not being the best friend ever, you can probably find him taking a long walk up a hillside, gazing at the stars.)

Alan Dee

Best Man

I couldn't imagine anyone else standing by my side as my best man. My brother, Alan, and I have been through thick and thin together, and our bond only grows stronger. Whether we're dominating the DFS fantasy world (and having a blast doing it!), or he's connecting with people experiencing homelessness or exploring his creative side in a free art class, Alan is a true force of nature. I can't wait to celebrate with him.

Jaime McPhee

Bridesmaid

As my lifelong friend, our 32 year friendship has been a wild ride! Jaime and I met at Kindercare, where Sean Evans from the hit show “Hot Ones” was the crush of every girl. Our friendship spans 32 years of sleepovers, haunted houses, paying for $13.00 pizzas in all quarters, city relocations, marriages, home buying, fur babies, Zumba classes, forced horror movie watching, bonfires, NSYNC, and LOTS of laughter. It is an honor to have her with me on this special day.

Brittany Davis

Bridesmaid

If a girl is lucky in life, she’ll get to meet someone who started out as a friend and became a family member. Brittany and I lived on the same street, growing up together. We did EVERY thing together! My favorite memories are riding bikes to the pond, catching frogs, playing N64: Goldeneye 007 on slap mode, Mario Kart, Snowboard Kids, and Mario Party. Scaring the daylights out of her younger brother Chace, playing Ghost in the Graveyard, jumping on the trampoline, seeing Deep Blue Sea at the movie theater and screaming bloody murder, building elaborate forts at her house, building mazes for her hamsters, sleepovers with pre-bedtime alien stories told by her Dad, Corby, clubbing in the middle of the week, until 4:00 am (regardless of work), traveling to The Netherlands for the biggest Hardcore EDM Festival in the world, bungee jumping in a foreign country, sky diving, carnival rides, getting matching tattoos, watching countless horror movies, conducting a paranormal investigation and gossiping for hours on end. The list goes on….she isn’t just a friend, she is a sister, family. I can’t wait to celebrate our wedding with her, dancing like Disco Dottie under the bright lights of Studio 54. UNZ UNZ UNZ

Dana Slone

Maid of Honor

You know that one friend that can read your mind and Vice-Versa? That’s DANA. We can finish each other’s thoughts and sentences without batting an eye. We were once accused of cheating during an Apples to Apples card game because we ALWAYS knew which card the other would pick with one look at each other. DANA and I have experienced a level of life that many others have not. We met on the Sophomore Softball team at Crystal Lake South H.S. in 2002. 23 years later, our bond has been strengthened by adulty-life-stuff and the moments of joy and laughter intertwined with it. I have so many favorites! Blasting “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion, house parties that included speaking to Dana in German, staying in a Wisconsin Dells cabin, carrying the largest watermelon up the narrowest staircase on the planet, late night walks in Sycamore, getting matching tattoos, watching bands at Clearwater theater in Dundee, attending a Long Island Medium live show, falling down a hill and rolling into Dana’s daughter’s birthday party, eating Dairy Queen chocolate cones dipped in crunch, caulking a bathtub, burning a couch in a backyard fire pit, copying off of Dana in H.S. Physics, being at the hospital for the birth of her two daughters, and hours long conversations about everything and nothing. My soul sister for life, the wind beneath my wings.
