What time should we arrive?

We recommend arriving at least 15-30 minutes before the reception starts at 4:00 pm so you can settle before the proceedings.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We are asking our guest to dress up with us! Our principal and secondary sponsors are requested to wear all dark shades of brown in semi-formal attire, while guests are invited to embrace a casual rustic chic vibe - patterns are highly encouraged. Long sleeve button up and floor below the knee length or midi length dresses but no jeans or sneakers. We also ask that guest avoid wearing colours reserved for the hosts - cream, ivory, or white. Can I bring my kids or a plus one?

When you enter your name on the RSVP page, you will see any additional children or guests we’ve included in your invitation. We are having a kid-friendly wedding!

Will there be open bar?

Answer

Yes! Please drink on us. However, the bar will close during the prosperity dance. You may opt to bring cash to tip our bartender/servers.

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Yes! There will be plenty of available parking space.

When do I have to RSVP by?

Answer

To help us with our planning, we ask that you kindly RSVP by August 1st, 2025. If we do not receive your RSVP by the date specified, we cannot make any exceptions and will have to mark you as ‘no’. We need to provide the venue with a total guest count in a timely manner, we hope you can understand!

Barn Rules

Answer

The bartender is an employee of the Shawnessy barn and will ONLY bartend and assist with facility issues. Any abuse of the staff will not be tolerated. Abuse of the bar staff will result in the bar being shut down for the rest of the evening. Non- Smoking Policy in the building.
