Rooms at the venue will be provided - just show up! Check in is 23-Nov and check out is 25-Nov. All events will be at the Fort.
Travel Note
The Fort is a 1.5 hour drive from Jaipur Airport. We recommend landing in Jaipur around 9AM or 1PM as we will have shuttles to the venue. Shuttles back to Jaipur airport will also be provided on 25-Nov. As you book flights, please send us details so we can coordinate shuttles or help you book another form of transport.
YES (Unless you have an OCI - and if you have an OCI, make sure it's associated with an unexpired passport). All international guests are required to electronically apply for an Indian e-tourist visa at this government website: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html
Getting a SIM card in India is not as easy as in some other countries, but the process is manageable. Also note that some areas, like the venue, may have spottier coverage. Besides international roaming on your existing plan, take a look at the following: 1) Google Fi: Google provides reasonably inexpensive phone plans (which you can cancel after a month) that can be used internationally - just make sure to set it up in your home country before traveling. For more info, register here: https://fi.google.com/about 2) SIM at the Airport: Delhi airport has a number of stands run by mobile operators that can provide you with a tourist SIM card if your phone is unlocked. Multiple providers exist, but we recommend getting a SIM card from Airtel. SIM cards cost roughly INR 1,000 (15 USD) and provide 1 month of data, texts and calls. To get a tourist SIM card at the airport bring: 2 physical photos of yourself, a copy of your eVisa, a copy of your passport's photo page, proof of home address (e.g. driver's license) and proof of Indian address (e.g. hotel booking). 3) SIM Outside Airport: This is a huge pain, only works for unlocked phones and is 100% not recommended. If you can in any way get a SIM before arrival or at the airport then you should try to do that.
Currently, no, but check here before you travel: https://in.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/
See suggested attire for each event in the Schedule section above.
Feel free to reach out Arjun or Shreya for recommendations! The wedding is in Rajasthan, home to beautiful forts and palaces. Here are the famous cities to visit: * Jaipur (The Pink City) * Jodhpur (The Blue City) * Jaisalmer (The Gold City) * Udaipur (The City of Lakes) Here are some places that we've loved to visit (or are on our bucket list!) that are farther out from the venue: * Ranthambore Tiger Reserve * Leh, Ladakh * Darjeeling * Rishikesh * Banaras/Varanasi
