Our StoryOur Story

Zolboo & Ariuka

Our journey began with a simple Facebook friend request back in 2014. We were just two young students at the time—curious, busy, and figuring out life. That first connection led to a meeting, but the timing wasn’t quite right. Life had other plans, and we went our separate ways to grow, learn, and chase our goals. Four years later, in 2018, life brought us back to each other—this time, at just the right moment. We had both completed our undergraduate studies, matured through our experiences, and found ourselves more grounded in who we were and what we wanted. That’s when everything clicked. As our relationship blossomed, we began building a life side by side. When the world slowed down in 2020, we moved in together in Arlington and created a peaceful little world of our own. In July 2021, we welcomed Coco, our sweet and sassy pup, who brought even more love and energy into our lives. Later that year, on a breathtaking trip to Hawaii, Zolboo proposed to Ariuka on top of the Diamond Head Crater. With the ocean breeze and endless sky around us, she said yes. In 2022, we planted deeper roots and bought our first home together in Centreville. Then in December 2023, we made our commitment official and became husband and wife on paper, surrounded by love, gratitude, and quiet excitement for what was to come. Our hearts expanded in the most beautiful way when we welcomed our baby boy, Hunter, into the world in February 2024. He completed our little family and brought a whole new kind of love into our lives. As we built our life together, we made a discovery that felt almost too unbelievable to be real. While flipping through Ariuka’s old first grade graduation photos from Mongolia, Zolboo started recognizing familiar faces—his childhood friends. Then, with wide eyes and laughter, he spotted himself standing in the same class photo—just three rows away from Ariuka. We couldn’t believe it. Somehow, our story had quietly begun long before Facebook ever entered the picture. This wedding is more than a celebration—it’s a full-circle moment. From unknowingly sharing a childhood classroom to building a life filled with love, laughter, and growth, our story is a beautiful reminder that love always finds its way. And now, surrounded by family, friends, and the people we love most, we begin our forever—hand in hand.

The Bride & Groom's Crew

Heather TranHeather Tran

Maid of Honor

Heather is the life of the party and the one who always knows how to make everyone laugh. From coworkers to best friends to roommates, she's been a constant source of joy and support in my life. I have been able to count on her more times than I can imagine, and she's always there for me when I need her the most. Her infectious energy and caring nature make every moment brighter, and I can't imagine this special day without her by my side. We're so lucky to have her with us!

Erin TravisErin Travis

Bridesmaid

Erin and I became friends in the most unconventional way, starting with gym sessions, then partying together, and of course, bonding over our love for all things food. We’re the responsible ones in the group, always making sure everything runs smoothly, but we also know how to have a great time. She’s always there with an open ear and a kind word when I need it most. Her laughter and support are unmatched, and I’m so grateful to have her standing by my side on this special day!

Feruza AbduwayitFeruza Abduwayit

Bridesmaid

Feruza and I have been through it all together—high school classmates, college mates at both Nova and GMU, and co-workers too. We’re also close with each other’s families, and I’m lucky to be friends with her two amazing sisters as well. While Feruza can be shy and quiet at first, once you get to know her, she won’t stop cracking jokes and making you laugh. She’s also the friend who tells it like it is when I need advice, always offering her honest perspective. I’m so thankful for her friendship and can’t wait to have her by my side on this special day!

Kathy DuongKathy Duong

Bridesmaid

Kathy has been my friend from the very beginning. She was my very first friend when I first came to the US, and we've been inseparable ever since. We’ve spent countless hours playing volleyball, basketball, and tennis together since freshman year of high school. Now we’re practically neighbors, and we still play tennis together to this day. Not only is she an amazing athlete, but she also bakes the meanest cookies that I can’t get enough of. I’m so grateful for her friendship, and I’m lucky to have her by my side on this special day!

Beck HughesBeck Hughes

Best Man

Meet Beck “Sahalt” Hughes Beck and I first crossed paths in 2007 on a soccer field next to the Pentagon City Costco. We’ve been kicking balls ever since. He’s the captain of our soccer team, the guy who’ll crack a joke at the worst possible time, and somehow still get us to win games. We’ve been through wins, losses, and a few questionable plays along the way. Let’s just say his sense of humor takes a dive when we’re getting crushed on the field. But when things get tough, he’s the one who pulls the team together and somehow makes even the worst losses feel a little less miserable. I’m lucky to have him as my best man—he’s the guy who can handle the chaos, both on and off the field.

Zoljargal TsogooZoljargal Tsogoo

Groomsman

Meet Jagaa “Little Jagaa” He has been part of the crew since 2007, when we first met on that soccer field near the Pentagon City Costco. Despite the nickname, don’t let his size fool you—he’s the playmaker of the team, always making the right calls even when the clock’s ticking and the opponents are twice his size. Dependable, trustworthy, and always ready to step up, he’s the guy I can count on in any situation, on or off the field. And if you think he’s just all about soccer, think again. Jagaa’s also got a hilarious side and some serious skills as a singer and dancer. Oh, and did I mention he’s the proud father of two wonderful daughters? The guy’s got it all—talent, heart, and a family that keeps him grounded. I’m beyond lucky to have him standing by my side as a groomsman.

Bat-Erdene BatkhuyagBat-Erdene Batkhuyag

Groomsman

Meet Bat-Erdene “Uuduu” Uuduu (which means tiny, by the way) and I met in 2019, just before the world got a little more complicated. Back when life was simpler and a lot more fun. Uuduu’s not exactly the funniest guy in the crew, but he has a knack for dropping the most ridiculous one-liner jokes that always hit at the weirdest times. On the soccer field, he’s a solid teammate, giving it his all, even if his sense of humor occasionally distracts us from the game. Always ready to party and have a good time, Uuduu’s the life of any gathering. He’s also a proud father of two, juggling family life with his unrelenting energy to enjoy every moment. I’m lucky to have him as a groomsman—he’s the guy who’ll make you laugh, even if you don’t know why.

Munkhjin UlziibayarMunkhjin Ulziibayar

Groomsman

Muji and I became teammates in 2015 on a soccer team, and though he was new to the game, it didn’t take long for him to rise through the ranks and become the main man up front as a forward. He’s not only a solid player but an even better friend—always there when you need him, both on and off the field. When he’s not dominating the game, Muji’s channeling his creative energy as a talented artist. He can sing and play multiple instruments, and he's always strumming on his guitar or belting out a tune. Muji is a true friend and an incredibly talented guy. I’m lucky to have him by my side today as a groomsman.
