How We Met
We met while working at a gym and had such an easy and seamless connection from the get go. After about a month and a half, Ariel asked Marcus to get together outside of work (although Marcus says he was going to ask her the same thing.) We spent the day lounging at Lake Merritt, eating sandwiches, and drinking beers. It was a very happy and relaxing day and that is exactly how our relationship has been ever since.
The Proposal
Paris! You better believe Marcus did not waste an opportunity for the ultimate romantic gesture in one of the most romantic cities in the world. We got engaged on the summer solstice and getting married almost exactly one year later.

The ceremony and reception will be held at a beautiful house in the Berkeley hills with a magnificent view. The short and sweet ceremony will begin at 5:00 pm with drinks, dinner, dessert, and dancing to follow. We highly recommend taking Lyft, Uber, or taxi as the street itself does not have ample parking, however, neighboring streets do, so it would just be a short walk. We can't wait to celebrate with all the people we love the most!

What type of wedding is this? Fancy? Casual?
Answer
The ceremony and reception will be held in the backyard at a house in Berkeley. Think elevated garden party. Dinner will be buffet style with open seating. There will be a mix of high and low tables. Keep in mind there are cobblestones in the backyard, so we wouldn't advise wearing your pointiest stilettos (but if those make you feel good then wear them.)
